With my schedule getting pretty busy these days, I tend to opt for simple styling of my locs like wearing them bone straight with a simple retwist. However, I wanted to switch things up and get some body in my locs and give it a little more oomph, so I opted for a loose loc curl.
To be honest, my initial intentions were for a tighter curl but I love the looseness of these curls and their lack of uniformity. They added the body and texture to my hair that I desired and allowed me to do some cool spins on my go to hair styles like the messy loc bun or high pony tail. I’m working with waist length locs, but this style can be achieved on short and medium length locs, too, so definitely try it on your locs when you get a chance and tag me on Instagram. Here’s my quick tutorial on how I achieved this look below.
I hope to create another loc curls look with rollers or curling rods and upload a tutorial of styles I create with older loc curls so stay tuned by subscribing to my blog and my Youtube channel.
Let me know if you would like for me to share more of my loc maintenance routine. Until next time loves!
